    Pardon my ignorance

What is the difference between a Mini Stock and a 4 cylinder bomber? (rules not yet posted)

I assume both classes are an opportunity for fans to go to the concession stand.

I know there needs to be entry level classes to cut your teeth on and they are a necessary evil, but why bore the crowd with 2? Would two classes not also cut potential class car counts by dividing new racers into two segments?

Just wondering. Not a box car guy. If you want to enter racing and need to cut your teeth buy a minisprint.

I don't know. I don't get much into the politics of the sport. I'm only in it for the cheeseburgers, gritty teeth and I take a few pictures for the website, which I'm not very good at either. You could call or email the track.

Just curious... Are you serious about cutting your teeth in the minisprints? From what I've seen, those cars require lightening reflexes, excellent hand-eye coordination and a solid racing logic prowess. I still have a lot to learn, but is minisprints considered a beginners car?

Was semi joking, but if you do not possess some semblence of all three of your requirements above, plus a bottomless bank account, stay out of the seat and in the stands.

Anyway off the subject. Glad to see Putnam County Speedway back in operation. First class facility with excellent racing surface in when in the right hands.

I have the utmost respect for the sprints, all of them. They're an organized, disciplined team.

One of our racers, Scott Anderson, started in a limited 360 sprint with absolutely no racing experience. I thought he wuz crazy when he told me he was going to race a sprint. Scott has turned out to be a competitive racer and is good.

Hey Raz, I thought your joke was funny, the one with the army tank! I miss your sense of humor!

Hmmm, bet I know who Flyingsquirrel is.....

Started my first race in a limited as well. 4th out of 24 my first race, but went downhill from there. Always finished around 10th, but no juice on the top end. Something went wrong with the engine and I couldn't figure it out. Went broke diagnosing by rebuilding. The guy who now has my engine figured it out and said it was a cracked head. I Missed the leak down test. Anyway that is where the deep pockets comment comes from. I posted my books once for the rest of the FSCA and the world on the FSCA message board, and they crapped. Most people race and don't keep track of where it all goes...

Anyway it worked out in the end. I'm in the building industry and I sold everything and moved out of state right before the market tanked. So all was not for naught.
