High gas
A while ago there was a thread on here asking for solutions to the price of gas. I don't think we solved much but maybe some of us felt better for blowing off a little steam. I got to thinking that the US can do anything if it sets it's mind to it. In WWII the Manhattan project developed the nuclear bomb. In the 60's we decided that we would land man on the moon. All this was done because the government wanted it done and prioritized it. Many new technologies were developed from both of these projects that we all benefit from today. Maybe it's time for the government to put some of the brightest minds together and develop an alternative to our fuel needs. I'm not talking about developing alternative fuels but instead, develop alternative means of transportation that don't rely on limited resources such as gasoline and corn. I'm actually thinking of some Star Trek stuff. Beam me up, Scottie.

The government is not going to prioritize changing something they're making $$$ on. Adding to my rant on the other fuel thread, the added cost of gas has seen DOUBLED taxes over the last 5 yrs......US gotta get their share too.Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope. -
