Attended last night with a couple of friends and didn't get out of there til almost 2 a.m.!! WTF is up with qualifying and THEN running heat races? JESUS! What a night to do THAT especially when you do it for THREE #^*)@ classes??!!??
The races were damn good(yea Tyler Ivey!) if you could ignore all of the caution laps while "they" waited for guys to change flat tires and generally screw around.
PLUS, two intermissions?? Even though they were fairly short, I guess the track needed to sell more concessions...I purposely didn't eat before I arrived so I could support them. But $9.50 for a C.burger, fries and Coke? Not again!
Whew...I feel much better now.

BRP puts on a good show with good car counts and great atmosphere,wish they were closer to me.If they run that late they should start their program earlier.
Went to NSS a few weeks ago and was home by 9.30 with 7-8 car features

My biggest complaint about BRP is, they very rarely start on time. Last night they didn't start until 8:00 pm. The reason that they don't start on time is his 'track prep procedure'. I got there at about 5:45, and they had three vehicles driving around the track until almost 7:30 working in the wet clay before about 30 minutes of practice. Then they ran the Sprint heat races to work some of the slick clay off the top before time trialing the Late Models and V8 Thunderstocks.

Bubba needs to do whatever it takes to have the track ready for practice at 6:00 and start the show ON TIME.

I would think when the sun starts setting earlier, it would be more practical. The direct sun puts a beating on a dirt surface being raced on. Could be a dust-bowl by sunset. Then everyone would complain if the track needed to be reworked.
Prepping and KEEPING a good dirt surface is a science, and nobody in history has gotten it right every time.

I agree Frass, however, he shouldnt advertise 7pm and then start at 8pm. He didnt even have the driver's meeting until about 7:30pm.

Two full classes of time trials after the sprint heats were a buzz kill for sure. Not to mention the drag assing between classes and the mutiple intermissions. He does have great fields and pays well but I can only go a few times a year due his frustrating and inefficient shows... And, simple spins to the infield don't require a caution...Just my two cents but I was there until almost 12:30am and left pissed off that it took so long to see three classes. I couldnt take anymore and left after the late models...

Saturday night I had two guys sitting behind me complaining about the vehicles driving around the track, qualifing, down time, etc., said they wouldn't be back. I'm glad because I won't have them sitting by me. The hobby-thunder-street stock, whatever they're called, qualifing was too much. It doesn't matter where they start, it's going to be a wreckfest.
