  • Showtime Speedway Results from August 11, 2012

I went back to Showtime Speedway for the second week in a row. Mainly wanted to check out the Sprint Cars and Sportsman.

Here are the night's winners in each division. I will have a more detailed story on the Front Page of Karnac.com

35 lap Sprint Car Feature - Ray Bragg
35 lap Sportsman Feature - Brandon Morris
20 lap Micro Sprint Feature - Greg Leonard
20 lap Street Stock Feature - Billy Carlbert, Jr.
20 lap Street Stock Figure 8 Feature - Shane Grigsby
20 lap Mini Stock Feature - Ron Sorenson, Jr.

The #66, Ray Bragg was DQ'ed in the Sprints, giving the win to #18, Shane Butler. The Showtime Facebook page is reporting he was 3/8" too wide on the rear.

Did Dude Teate get DQ also? He was the second place finisher when the checkered flag flew.

Well then those are the official track race results. That is why when I wrote my article for the front page of Karnac.com I mentioned that the results were as I saw them at the checkers, prior to tech inspection, and prior to any DQs.

I also liked the fact of the fast cars starting the feature in the rear. It made the race even for us drivers who had to start in the back that much more fun.As Yoho says in the drivers meeting "It is all about the show and we are here to give the fans a show."
