  • Kyle Busch - Two nights of fun

On Fri, I really enjoyed the altercation between my two favorites from the Snowball Derby last year. Steven Wallace actually had the sack to call out Kyle on not being a fan favorite...somebody get him a mirror.

Not sure about the Jr deal, both went for it and Kyle lost it and wrecked him. Kyles fault, but Jr had to know he would do something stupid - surprised he didnt prep for it.

The crazy part is, the more stupid things Busch does, the more I like the guy. Every time it is caused by being overly aggressive - which is not something you see all the time anymore - especially in Cup. I am strangely drawn to the circus act.

Hamlin helped Busch catch up by stopping on track causing yellow. NASCAR didn' t like it either.also Waltrip overagresive and parked by Nascar.

No doubt the guy can drive a car but hes a freaking idiot. He basically did the same thing to him that Vickers did last year or the year before. You could really
tell how heart broken Jr was in his interview. Thumbs up to him for the way he handled it.

Kyle Busch is paid to WIN races and that's what he was trying to do... His moves and aggressiveness are very similar to another driver that everybody either loved or hated (in that black car)... I'm sure if he had spun Jeff Gordon out, he'd be a hero today!!

Good analogy Dave. I've never had many Nascar guys that I look up to, because most of them race for points and not so much for wins.... they wait for stuff to happen, rather than MAKING it happen.

The very short list of exciting drivers (whether you love them or hate them) includes Dale Earnhardt, Ernie Irvan, Tim Richmond, Tony Stewart and now Kyle Busch. The rest are like watching paint dry.

I never found much excitement watching Bill Elliott, Terry Labonte, Harry Gant, etc... they just cruise all day trying not to get in trouble. That isn't RACING to me.

Stick Jeff Choquette, Bentley Warren, Don O'Neal, Jimmy Owens, and Jac Hadenschild out there and see if any of them just cruise around for 500 miles!

Yea, he doesn't seem like the kinda guy I would want to hangout with, but from a fan perspective, he races his arse off and tells it how he thinks it is. Not always right, but it is his opinion. Reminds me an awful lot of Tony S in that regard.

Gotta echo the sentiment above, Jr handled it real well, he was absolutely sick about it and didnt overreact. Also gotta give Jr some props as I was one who thought he was overrated and would fall to the bottom of the Hendrick camp like a rock. He has been the leader of the Hendrick camp so far and will win some races this year.

Sorry, but I still think he's over-rated. He may win some races, but in that equipment, he SHOULD win races.

I have been thinking that the Busch brothers must really be from Boston! Not real smart and think they are owed everything! I wish Jimmy Spencer would come out of retirement for just one race and teach the little $hi@ a lesson like he did the big brother!

Ancr Dave, When Kyle Busch wins 7 championships, then you can compare him to Dale Sr.
When Kyle Busch is on someones butt they are not worried about him "rattling their cage" they are worried about "what stupid thing this idiot is going to do now" The guy can drive a car, but hes out of control time and time again. He did the same exact thing to Travis Kvpil at Bristol late year in the trucks while Travis was leading.

Earnhardt was just as wreckless and dirty. He did not rattle peoples cages, He downright wrecked them. He must have been lucky enough to not race with someone with a temper like mine. People who drive me like eanhardt drove people end up needing a roll back to get their cars off the track. Im sorry but in my book Earhnardt was not a champion. There are many people who I view as champions that did not have the most points at the end of the seasons.

The more I see Busch race, win and handle himself, the more I like him. Unfortunately, I look similar too him (actually was asked for a few autographs in the garage this year at Daytona). So I'm going to Darlington this weekend with an Busch shirt... If I don't make it back, remember the good times.

Kyle finished 3rd at Madison International Raceway in an ASA race Sunday. I agree with you Oval 44 about Dale Sr. Maybe that's why Jr. wasn't to upset Sat. night. Reminded him of dear ol dad. Ancr. Dave, ya gotta start somewhere. He's only 23, but don't get me wrong, I do like to watch him run, just like Dale Sr. They keep a dull race interesting. billy

yeah, i was going to point out that having Steven pissed at you is practically a badge of honor.

                            Ron had two points:

                            1. Junior had spent the previous two laps taking extremely high lines all the way through the corner while Busch had gone to the apex and bound the car up coming off. unfortunately, the same corner that Busch tried to run a wider line to get off the corner better was the same turn that Junior decided to try and pinch Busch down with a more normal corner entry.

                            2. he hates being stuck in a position where he has to say he doesn't think Kyle did anything wrong.

                            I wish Jimmy Spencer

the difference between Spence and the Shrub is that Jimmy wrecked most of his opponents on purpose. you aren't making points for yourself there.

i don't think Busch is as good as the broadcast guys slobber him out to be but he should be in the top ten drivers in Cup. and you know that, while he might not get everything the car has, he's going to get everything out of the car that he knows how to get.

i do know that i would NOT want to be offering him the bottom groove when the race is on the line but that has more to do with previous bonehead moves he's made than last Saturday. but if the only place your car will go is on the topside you're stuck between a frying pan and a burning Busch.

so "winning" makes intentionally wrecking people out of the lead okay?

i guess we'll come back in 15 years and see if we're going to let him get away with what he did Saturday, eh?

I am glad to see someone got it. Dale Sr did it on purpose, Busch is wreckless and out of control and does it on accident.

Jr did run a little lower but if you look Busch ran a little higher. It was a great race but it would have been fun to watch them side by side for a few more laps.
