  • Citrus County Speedway - Saturday 5/3/08

It’s another wild night of racing action at citrus county speedway Saturday night and you and the family don’t want to miss this one. The 4 cylinder bombers will be qualifying in time trials for their 50 lap point’s night special. The super late models are back in a full program after coming up with a third different winner in their make up race last week.. The sportsmen, mini stocks, and thunder stocks go at it in heats and feature action and the v8 thunder stock rookies feel their oats in a 20 lap feature. Added to the competition this week will be the Florida pro mini modified challenge race. Get it together and come out to citrus county speedway Saturday night, just 2 miles south of Inverness on U.S. 41 at the fairgrounds. Grandstand gates open at 4 and racing gets underway at 5:30. Come to where the racers are kicking asphalt every Saturday night, citrus county speedway, where action is the attraction.

Time Trials for 4-Cylinder Bombers? That is shaping up to be coma-inducing.
Won't need a stopwatch... a calender will do.
Sure didn't have the fans in mind on this one.

Usually Citrus County Speedway does it right but I have to agree with Frasson on this. Who the hell wants to watch that? They will be lucky to finish their qualifying before the curfew is up.

Qualifying was always before racing (was in the past). Racing starts at 5:30 so guys qualifying needs to get there early i think. I personally have missed qualifying on a few occasions in the sportsman division (again, in the past) not getting there early enough. Had to unload and start in the rear.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

I was there last weekend and they do put on a great show and keep things moving quick. Last week they were done at 9pm sharp. Figure 8's were a blast too.

Doesn't matter what track you are at or what division. Time trials are boring, No matter how you say it!!!!!!
