I just read on Speed51 that the ASA is allowing the Super Lates to run with them at this show. I find this hard to believe that officials would allow this to happen. If I was an ASA owner, I'd be outraged.

The big question I have, is WHY? On a small, tight track like Charlotte County or Citrus, I can see that with some weight rule tweaking and some spoiler angle compromises, things could be very close. But at Lakeland, I sure can't see ANY ASA car staying in the same zip code as Choquette or Russell.

I thought that was the plan all along because this is the ASA with the "blended motor rules" in places for crate, spec, 9:1, etc.

The ASA is too confusing for me to follow, but if this means all of our Sunbelt guys can run their cars this could be an amusing race.

At least it won't be follow the leader. Parity is over-rated.

I just found out that my K-Car with the negative compression engine is now eligible under ASA rules... Anybody got a spare cage laying around??
