I was serious when I said this... There are a couple of other entertainment venues out there for us this 4th of July, but I would be willing to spend this much plus more on concessions at Showtime Speedway. BUT, I am not willing to put a folding chair on the flat deck and stare at the back of the guy's head (and ass because he won't sit down) in front of me. This is why we stopped going to Daytona. The only good spot is up in the suites and after an expensive weekend to do that, never again!Originally posted by Family Section View PostOk, so how much for a "Fan In The Stands" to buy a spot to park my Chevy conversion van with its back-side facing the track on the back stretch? I would pay $50 to do that and sit in the back of of the van with all the comforts of home while I watch the races...
And this is also why we could be found up in the top corners of the Family Section stands at SS, so we would have less hassles and could actually see the races...

Nice, very nice...
Thanks Jimmy for letting the real racing fans know what's going on. Facebook is ok for friends and family updates, but it makes for a poor sustitute as a business front-end. I haven't 'friended' anybody, but my wife and daughter get all giggly about the cute and funny little things that are posted on Facebook. It's a great social update site if you wanna know the intimate details of what somebody is doing minute by minute (I'm flushing the toilet now!), but it's not good as a business' primary information site.
Oh well, guess I gotta wait until Jimmy takes pity on us...
By the way, why can't we have a copy of this flier posted on the front page of their Showtimespeedway.us site too? I found this grabbed copy while cruising the 'net, looking for some other way than Facebook to get more information about the speedway (what it means by non-activated version is that somebody didn't pay for the image-grab software used to swipe it). Wonder why this nice-looking flier is being kept private?
And I see the answer to my previous question at the bottom of this flier... Sheesh!
