  • Who has the money and balls?

    How much to buy OSW?

The track has potential but can't be bought I've heard.

I bet a new track....with the right guy running it could be and would be the #1 track in Florida.

Right here in the middle of the state.

I'll give you this. A group of investors has looked at potential properties in the central Florida area for a new racing facility to include multi forms of racing, commercial, and vacation homes. The problem with sound makes it difficult for urban areas. OSW is currently being studied but the precieved value is still to far from reality. As long as NSS and OSW are operating, a third oval track in east central Florida/Orlando area, will probably not move forward.

OHHHHHH And if you are scared just say so!

Remember it is 112 acres in ORANGE COUNTY
            Oval track
            Dragstrip

Look at the shows that you would own....
            Night of Fire
            World Street Nats
            Fun Ford
            Crash-A-Rama

might have to change the names but the history is there!

NOW come on! Make me make them sell you that track!!!

I said its being studied, nothing about an offer being made tomorrow. The group looked at property out in west orange county but the issue of sound became an apparent problem. The business plan called for alot more acreage than available at OSW. It has homes, commercial real estate, and a motorsports complex. It's an interesting concept that has worked in other areas around the country. The Disney area would be better suited but that's a whole different story.

Rusty I spoke to a friend and we discussed OSW. He laughed and said the facilities can be bought for pennies after Terry closes it. How much has Lake City's value depreciated since it was closed ? The problem wih OSW is the location.

Anyone that thinks OSW will be a fire sale is wrong! Robert will sit on it before that happens. Lake City is Lake City...hate to say it but it is land value there..in my opinion. OSW I can assure you that OSW will not be a foreclosure or distress sale. I would really like to see someone step up to the plate and swing! But am afraid all I am going to hear are excuses...Now when the owners of these (all FL tracks) tracks complain everyone thinks they are just greedy and ripping them off! This "economy" has affected current owners...but yet everyone thinks they should shell out money when there is none coming in...I want to see NEW strong blood come in and show them how it is done!

Rusty, you are sofar out of line this time, its not economy, just look at C.C.S., they have a packed house week after week, they work with the drivers and fans. They put on a show without trying to just make a few people happy. They have worked out most of the problems that they have had,NOT JUST SAID IF YOU DONT LIKE IT,THEN STAY HOME! You can only tell so many people this over time, racers are very hard headed, and once you upset them,it takes time for them to get over it. I have only been to OSW maybe 10 or 12 times in the last 4years and I live 20mins down the road. It's just time for new blood, that has a free hand! I know Robret loves the track, but Mr T.R. is the biggest JOKE that has ever worked for FASCAR.

Notice the "economy" was supposed to be somewhat sarcastic...was at Houston Motor Sports Park (TX) last night 5000 people there!!!!!!!!! In the middle of "dirt" country!

I only give this "economy" so much credit...yes tracks have NOT handled customers properly ... and there is no one track that did that! Remember the old "If you do not like it load it up!" ...well they did!

The track will never be sold to anyone wanting to keep it a race track....think about it......

It's really not that hard to put fans and drivers in at ORLANDO SPEEDWORLD

Agree with Rusty on a lot treat people/drivers/fans like they should and put cars on the track move the show along. For GOD sake it's not rocket science.
