  • Great sportsmanship at ocala speedway

As some of you may know that was at Ocala speedway Friday night I lost a motor. What you don’t know is when I was loading my car up victory lane motor sports that is the parts trailer on slab 18 came over and offered the gaskets I need. But the real story is Todd Roberts the driver of the # 44 thunder stock knowing I had to go out of town this week for work told me to drop my car off at his shop and he would fix it for me his dad Tommy Roberts had the car on the lift before I could get out of the driveway Todd spent all day Saturday finding parts and putting a motor together and at 10 pm Saturday night as I was getting on the airplane Todd call and told me it was running and that he was going to go thru the car he had found some thing that was lose and the car would be ready when I get back on Friday . To me that is a real sports man and I only met him two weeks ago but a good friend as well.

If there is a sportsmanship award at the end of the year I would like to be the first to nominate Todd Roberts

I would also like to thank victory lane motor sports and Tommy Roberts drywall it great to have great people like them around I could never thank you enough.

    Thats Ocala

The Roberts family has raced Ocala Speedway for many years. Tommy and I raced each other in the Sportsman Divison and helped me a lot when I was first getting started. They are all 'TRUE RACERS', but they will race you hard for that checker. Hard---but fair.

RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.
