  • Who screwed up?

Last night at Orlando, the winning E mod started toward the back of the field. He picked his way through traffic, and then hung it on the outside for lap after lap eventually taking the lead with 2 to go. This was a good, clean and competitive race, and I enjoyed it very much.

How coud this happen? Why didn't he get to start on the pole? The other winners get to start on the pole, or at least very near to the front.

Cutting through the sarcasm, it would certainly benefit the show to fix the starting procedure. This thing about starting the heat race winners at or near the front isn't working, IMHO.

How about adding a few provisions for previous winners? If you have won in the past two weeks, you start last. If you have won more than say 25% of your starts, you start last. If you have won more than 50% of your races, you get to carry extra weight, and it keeps going up if you continue to rack up the wins.

alot of people look at this differnt if your a track own or fans coming to see a good show it nice to see the fast cars start last make them earn the win as drivers and it may give someone with alittle less money a chance to win. Then again if your oone of them fast cars you dont want beat the shit out of your car week after week trying to make it up through the feild . I think that its a good idea to put them in the back make for a awesome show

Maybe it's just me but I always thought the competing part of racing was the most satisfying part of racing knowing you passed the whole field to win was the best part. But then again I have always thought working hard for something you really want always makes it more pleasing when you get it. Maybe I'm wrong.

Earl Beckner. I've sometimes been critical of his driving, but I didn't see him touch another car last night.

They started the feature in the same order as they finished the heat race with Glover #38 on pole down thru Beckner who finished his heat in the eight spot. I agree with Boneman, it was a great job of outside racing, this race was worth the price of admission alone. Ten cars in the e-mods. #98 Jarrett was second with #25 Benton, #112 Korpi and #10 Bailey finishing the top 5.Shows there is an outside groove at OSW, Caution free also.Rest of the races, #112 Shannon Kelley bested the eight car field, Strictlys went to #51 Wes Railing in an 11 car field. Although very weak in count wise the Pro Trucks had a good race with the #3 Cowhey Jr besting the four truck field, 3 car Legend feature went to #59 Monopoply, Small Mini field of 4 saw #6 Broat win in a very good race, and finally in the Pro Lates only 5 showed with 2 DNS, the 3 car field was won by #54 Zach Harris, who dedicated the race win to his Grandmother, a very nice gesture. Oh yeah the Bandos 3 car field Tucker & Audie were the winners.. Not a bad night. Like I mentioned the e-mods in my opinion were the by far the best of the show.
