Amen brother. Real racing at its best. I guess my love for the sport is the only reason I watch any NASCAR. That and with the economy they are all there is on the tube.

      I just don't get it

What is it that these youngsters see in that drifting stuff with just one car sliding around by himself ?
When they could be watching this !!!!

That is an awesome shot. So many different elements came together to make this shot great. The photographer was then able to capture it. Awesome. For the drifting fans that Beavis mentioned, BRP will have the wingless sprints on May 5th.

The yellow one has a different hood shape and more body roll.

ALL 5 HAVE DIFFERENT BODIES....YES LOOKS LIKE DICKIE IS RUNNING A SOFT RR BAR/SHOCK COMBO ALLOWING IT TO GET OVER ON THE RR MORE...GOOD THING THE TRACK SLICKED OFF CAUSE ON A HEAVIER TRACK HE WOULD BE FLIPPING HIS WINNIE OFF

Five different drivers. Four different lines through the corner. The first two are pretty much in the same groove, but the other three are taking three other (different) lines.

I'll bet if the guy had a wider angle lens, you'd see another car in about the same lane. You can see the mud flying. This is one of the neater shots I've seen. I had to send the photographer an email giving him kudos on a job well done. Seeing this picture makes me want to visit the track. I wonder what it looks like after a few heat races.

the grandstands hold 7000 people and stretch the entire length of the front straightaway...but still back in the day the joint was packed...this was a sunday afternoon race and temps dipped to a high of 48....and they where about 1/2 full so still over 3000 people there...plus 1 of the only tracks left where you go take a lawn chair and a cooler to watch the race with out any obstruction other then the dividing 5' fence 20' from the inside wall.....

here is an example from the Hulman Classic last year
