14 hour race at Daytona

Just so some can look at this series. It is road racing with lots of seat time for the money.

Click on events and scroll down to May 27th for the rules. It ends up being about $200-250/hr of seat time if you buy a ride. Thats a couple of tires at the track that makes you buy em....LOL

The team I drive for, Pro Tech Racing out of Brooksville, has two VW's entered and one seat available. (I'm not advertising).

Good idea for the up and coming driver.

Spectators are welcome but I don't know the price. It was $20 at Palm Beach for the 24hr race in Feb. The pits are standard fare for the spectators.

The Daytona race is May 27th.... a SUNDAY.... and on the "roval" part oval and part road course. It is 14 hours long and has over 80....YES eighty entries as of last week.

Sebring 14hr race is Sept 22 I think.

Look it up. It is a great show.

We got into "Chump Car Racing" and it is a BLAST! We have ran at Sebring and recently did a 24 hour event at Palm Beach. I have two cars racing at Daytona. If you have not previously ran a Chump event or have documented, verifiable proof that you have prior wheel to wheel road racing experience, Chump Car will not let you race at Daytona and a few of the other tracks.

I believe the race at Daytona is the ONLY race on the schedule that requires prior road track experience. It was a track dictated requirement.

I have raced against other drivers who have NEVER raced anything. Chumpcar will black flag you if you are not driving in a manner that is covered under the undescribed unwritten laws of road racing.... LOL

You are correct Lizard!
Daytona is the ONLY track you must have prior experience due to the high speeds.
