The Rolling Thunder Modified race at Montgomery Motor Speedway on May 12, 2012 will be under RTM rules. Cars will be required to use a 2-bbl carb. Along with 8" tires a 2 bbl will considerably even the field out from a competitive standpoint. Most teams can borrow a 2 bbl carb from another friend or competitor who is not using it.
We have some of the best safety standards in modified racing, however, there will be some safety exceptions on a case by case basis.

Our rules have been tailored to coincide with many of the series and big races like the former USA Modifieds, the Snowball Derby and the Gulf Coast Modifieds. If you qualify in those, with a 2bbl, you will almost certainly be legal for the race!
