Bill was truly a journeyman racer. Just last night I was reading an old Stock Car Racing magazine from 1974. One of the stories was about the NESMRA Classic at Star Speedway in Epping NH. One of the entrants was Bill Roynon, Tampa Fla.
He raced all over the Eastern half of the US in Supermods and Sprint cars. Guys like him are hard to find anymore.... RIP Bill, and Best Wishes to the family and friends.
Bill certainly marched to a different beat... he was one heckuva driver... Once you could break thru his "shell" and get him talking he was funny as all get out... Here are some pics of Bill:
