For much too long, Jack and I both did alot of work on this board and needless to say, it is not the easiest thing to do. We use to beg for moderators and usually someone would help but after they saw how time consuming it was, well, they realized it was more than they wanted. At one point, Jack took the board down because it was just too much to take care of and people didn't really follow the rules that were set down for the message board. This poor message board has been thru more hell and stayed than any other I know.
If you really think it is that easy, KARNAC and alot of message boards are always looking for people to help moderate the board. Personally, I took down my board because first you had to be approved to post but every now and then someone would get thru me and I would find stuff that should not be on any message board so for now, mine is gone and I don't have to worry about spammers and their merchandise they were trying to push.
But honestly, if you think it is easy, just try it. I am sure Rick would appreciate your help but from what I went thru many years on this board, IT IS NO FUN AND NOT EASY TO DO.Comment

Who are the new moderators ?
One thing for sure, a good moderator HAS to take the time to read every thread and delete spam.
Also, I would be interested in purchasing the messageboard side of KARNAC should the owners ever consider selling it. Who are the rightful owners ?Comment

I had a message board set up for kids and parents. I was web master and the only moderator.
IT WAS HELL FOR ME!
I would have volunteered for this one, except I knew the time needed was not going to be available.
