If you came to any of our Legend Car races at OSW when we ran on Saturdays (and during the Winternationals) a few years ago, you may remember the Bassett family out of NC who would show up even on a Saturday night to give their boys Ronnie Bassett, Jr. and Dillon Bassett some seat time in their Legend and Bandolero cars. Both did really well and although you could see their family had plenty of $$$, all those $$$ can't by talent and both these kids were really talented...
Ronnie started running LM a couple of years ago and Dillion, who still can't be more than 12-13 years old, started running them this year. It took Ronnie awhile but he finally won his first LM race last year and this year he has been a force in all of the races he's been in...
So.. Saturday night, against a field of 25 cars at Dillon Motor Speedway in the Eggs-traordinary 150 (catchy name) UARA race, Ronnie won with little brother Dillon right behind... Way to go guys!!!
Also to note in the field was Travis Swaim, whose dad Mike was a former NASCAR Dash Series champion, another Legend Car grad (you Auburndale fans should remember him) Sean Rayhall and another FL kid who ran Trucks down here, Tyler Laing...
