    Tonights Show
Results from the world of motorsports and the latest big time gossip. The Desoto Outlaw class. Lets talk tires. I breakdown the world of racing tires, profit margins, backdoor deals and all the shadiness comes to light. I will tell you how much your track is making off each tire sale. I will also reveal some tire secrets that may be common knowledge to professional shorttrackers but, may just be the edge your looking for.Soaking, siping, grinding, needling and flat just changing the letters to run the compound you want. Nothing is sacred so call in with your questions. I hope Don Nerone calls in to ruin the show as promised. 7PM tonight

Hey TK, you should talk about Chinese golf clubs, or maybe who our favorite "sports man" is. Those seem to be the hot topics around here.

My dad is older now, and his first love is Sprint Cars, having grown up in USAC country in the Midwest. When I asked him if he'd like to go to the TBARA show at PGS on April 7, he lit up.

He told me last night that it's been a long time since he's seen a 4-wide salute to the fans, and he's really looking forward to it. I don't know if they still have that crazy flagman who twirls and jumps around on the flagstand, but I hope so.

It'll be a neat race to see, that is for certain. Its funny your dad likes that 4 wide salute! I hate it. I think that is the only time some tracks gets cleaned, but the problem is its usually my tires that are picking up the screws and rivits. (note: I've had 5 tires that picked up debris and leaked in 7 race nights)

Maybe I shouldn't let the story out, but I will anyway because it is pretty neat. My brother just bought a parking lot/street sweeper that he'll bring to the Safey Kleen TBARA races. So far, both tracks we raced on this year were filthy, so it would help the show to have fewer flats, especially when sprints are on the schedule. He is doing a rebuild and it may or may not be ready for work at PGS next week.

            Come by and say "hi"!

Hey Boneman, When can I get a few hot laps in that Hot Rod? Luscomb promised me years ago, but unfortunately he passed away before I could take him up on his offer. One of the things in my Bucket list.

Not quite Don. In 7 nights of racing, that is practice, heats and a feature, I've ended up with 5 leaking tires. Twice they have put me out of the feature.

Why blame the tracks? Because during the 4 wide salute the amount of trash flying around at the top of the track is amazing. I don't care about dirt and sand, I mean chunks of stuff like metal, aluminum and rivits.

Stop the 4 wide? No way! Its traditional and the fans seem to like it. Cleaning the track is the solution, and that is why "tweety16" bought a sweeper to bring along.

When you come through turns 3-4 during the four-wide salute, be sure to give a big wave to the folks sitting up on the hill in the lawn chairs. That's where my dad and I will be sitting. His hearing isn't the best anymore, but he still enjoys listening to the PA Announcer, so that's where we sit. Some people may not think about it, but the cars are off the throttle in the middle of the corner, so it's much, much quieter sitting there. You can even hear the PA Announcer pretty good during racing action. The hill at PGS is a great place for people with young kids (they can run around in the grass with no worries about them falling between the bleachers), and for folks who have trouble hearing.

He said he wanted to get to the track at 5:00pm on Saturday... "to get a good seat".... I can't remember the last time he wanted to get to a race track that early.

Can't wait to see the TBARA in action again at PGS.

It going to be an up-hill climb! My total experience on PGS is about 10 laps in a mini stock, and that was in 1990. 'Hope everyone has a great night!
