  • Sporstman Race Desoto March 31

This was ment for Sportsman cars not mods, supers,Flyin 4's, a Sportsman Full Fender car because all of the tracks rules are different. We all have to use a little common sense here.As for tires all the tracks are on Hoosiers except PGS,for the people that have goodyear treaded bring them no tire stamp, does that help.I added 4 barrel for crate motors I forgot some use that combo, make sure your weight is right.

Remember No track can cover all the rules the way you want us to , so if one of you would like to handle the rules at my track step up to the plate be my guess, if you want tracks to race at show up and race or it might be too late .See ya at the races John. I hope this Helps.

Thats right where going back in time only at Desoto Super Speedway.

All Cars must weigh 1350 right side
    8'' rims
    Hoosier 650 rightside
    Hoosier 450 left side
    2 barrel carb.
4 Barrel ok on crate eng

I don't care if you have 5 links, 600 hp motors ,Nasa shocks ,rocket power, fiberglass bodies, cams ect, thats all of the rules above. This will tell who's who about racing at Desoto Super Speedway.

All heat races, all of the fast cars will start in the back no sand bagging,I know who the fast ones are.Its all about the show and fans.

Pays $400.00 to win,25 laps and if this works I am going to change our whole racing program for the fans.

So now every car in Florida can race sporstman no excuses,Be there.

NO phone calls on this race only at Desoto Super Speedway

In the other thread, I believe Rick thinks I'm trying to criticize this event, which is not the case at all. I was merely pointing out some of the loopholes I saw, which looks like are now being closed up.

Im not very mechanical when it comes to racecars, but if I could see through this, then the people that are a LOT smarter than me would see them too.

With these clarifications, it does appear to be all about Sportsman rather than a true Open Competition format. I also like the idea of allowing Goodyears also, to let people run what they have, and not be forced into a tire purchase. Good move...!

I would REALLY like to see this work, as I get sick of the cookie-cutter look of most racecars these days. Over-regulation has taken a lot of fun and innovation out of the picture, and I miss those days. Sheet metal and plexiglass are about the cheapest ways to look different, and hopefully go faster.

I hope you guys get a bunch of cars....
