I like it.
I've heard all of Tommy's shows so far, and I recommend them. Why? Because they are different than what you have heard before. In recent years, we have had good shows with other formats: general interest/promotion shows, a group of buddys hanging around and shooting the bull, shows that focus on results, etc.. Those are fine (some better than others), but Tommy King's is real racing information from racers, and directed mainly at other racers.
Its alot like standing around the scales or the pay window at the end of the night. You will hear quite a bit about rules, expenses and driving incidents, and not a lot about promoting the event that is coming up in a few weeks, or about the latest and greatest rich teenage driver.
Tommy is from a long-time racing family, so he has been there, done that, and probably been black flagged for it at some point.
Friendly suggestions for Tommy: get a call screener. I think you take a risk when you cut off a good caller for the promise of a different caller who may not be as interesting. Also, the language means I have to listen with the headphones on. Sometimes it takes certain kinds of words to make a point in racing, I get that, but I also don't want it broadcast in my living room where my wife and kids are.
Keep at it brother!
