I hope there were more than 5 cars.

I saw a picture of Jake Perkin's car and it didn't look a lot better than this. He finished second, I'm told. I'd like to hear an unbiased report but it appears Jake did pretty well. I wish I could watch him but can't be at two places at once. Congrats to Jake on the second place run.

The Series is definitely on the decline... Second race with under 18 cars and nobody was running against them this week so you can't use that for an excuse... Note that defending champ Russell was not there... wonder why?

                    fup

i heard rex guy was only gonna have quality cars at his race track, if thats so where was anderson, russel, sergi, scoefield winchell, and so forth. The way i see it the fup series isnt going to good and what about jon guy setting fast time at his dads track and starts on the pole ..... sounds a lil fishy to me.

Dave, if you go to Russell's website he did not this past weekends race on his schedule.

                      Russell race schedule.

x1x maybe people like yourself is one the causes of local stock car racing taken a hit. because you ass-ume alot. I guess you were not there. so in case you were not there let me tell you what they did. during intermission they had the top 8 fastest drivers of the night stand at the finish line and 8 children, one per driver, each child picked a pepsi bottle with a number on the bottle. starting with the slowest of the 8, the last one left was the pole. I think you sure be able to figure out the rest. the track had nothing to do with designing something fishy. also for ancrdave, for someone that is suppose to have such a great love and this wonderful past in racing you seem to have a dislike for Auburndale Speedway, I wonder why.

I have no dislike for Auburndale Speedway at all, in fact was glad to see the car count up a bit especially for the Legends (will somebody give Kory Abbott a shot at a LM or Mod ride... he deserves it)... Just wondering where the SLM are? This deal started off with a bang last year but has taken a bit of a hit this year... Again, 16 cars can put on a pretty good show at a place like Auburndale and it was neat to see a new winner... Hear Eddie King was DQ'd because his car was too old LOL...

This was my first trip to Auburndale in 2012, and for those who think Rex's son might have gotten some favors, I just didn't see it.

In fact, when the tough call had to be made, with about ten to go, when Guy (who was leading) and Webster in 2nd got together spun into the grass at the end of the front straight, the track (or whoever made the call), put them both to the back.

Some would aruge it was the right call, some would argue it was the wrong call. But in the end, the track allowed the drivers to determine the outcome, not Rex, the officials, or whoever else could be accused of having a bias.

I know Rex and his staff have done some crazy things in the past, but I just didn't see any of that on Saturday night.

Good job to the everyone who put on the FUP show this weekend.

Couldn't agree more about Kory Abbott. I've never talked to him, but have watched him for the past few years. He is super smart with setup, very good with people off the track, and a great driver. I wish a late model owner would give this young man a shot. I think he might be the real deal.
