Unfortunately, you will not hear that verse publicly here in the United states of the Offended.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

      and...

i would be willing to bet that 90% or more of our kids have never heard that verse and dont know the words. what a shame this country has fallen so hard so fast. will take alot of energy and love to bring it back..if ever.
so glad i was able to learn the true meaning of "freedom" because it is becoming a thing of the past.
We have lost too many precious lives that fought for that freedom so i think it is horrid if they die in vain. we need to gather as Americans and stop this trend.

Ok lets break these posts now.
        1. this will make you get goose bumps. why, is this a suprise that there is more then one verse to this great song? because its at a setting were a 64 year vet sings it?

        2. you will not hear it in the united states of the offended. who let this happen. look in the mirrow folks.

        3. Carol's post is to long to write. however, once again look in the mirrow. if you think that most kids never heard more then the 1st first verse then as taxpayers that pay for the schools of this country its your fault. in the day in schools all over this country we were taught all the verses of the song.

as a 64 year old viet nam vet I am tired of hearing or reading crap like this. people writing or talking how we have and now going now the tube. of course its true. if you think this and do nothing then you deserve to live in a country were you are losing your rights. when was the last time you wrote your congressperson or called them. write to your local newspaper. go to a local city or county and school board meeting and voice your opinon.
just because your freedom is written on a piece of paper that is 220 some years old means little in todays time. you still have to earn it, yourselves.
so start today. give up a couple of hours of working on your race car each week and sit down and write letters or call, etc, etc, but stop the whining and crying about the shape of our country. do something for yoursevles or at least for your children and grandchildren. Remember, our armforces only protects us from other governments, we have to protect ourselves from our own.

in 2010 the tea party did that. you don't have to do not. just need to flood congress and white house with faxes, e-mails, letters and phone calls. just common sense stuff, however, who wants to take the time or effort to that. easier to set around and complain. its both parties that have hurt this country. keep writing Benny

                  Darren

My "kids" are in their 50's! They were taught patriotism, Christianity and basic morals at home and in school. long before this country went to hell in a hand basket.
i agree with you 100%. It is a parents responsibility to teach morals, religion, and patriotism to their children and it should be reinforced in school where they spend most of their youth. Im too old and too worn out to help much but i will write in and express my sadness that all of the things that made AMERICA what it is are slowly being taken away.. Its up to our youth to carry the burden. we did our part... all the men and women who have fought for and died for this country deserve that.

all you have to do is google US CONGRESS or ushouseofrep ussentate it will get you any name of congressperson you need.

there are people in congress that are older then us that will fight us and have been fighting for years to bring their beliefs on how this country and we the people sure live our lives. they never get tired because they have a goal. they know us, the people that they want to control better then we know ourselves, they know how much they can push then lay off and then start pushing again. its history.

Last night I had one of my adopted kids visiting my house. And somehow we got into prayer and he said where he works in Viera, every morning the manager says a prayer for all the employees before they open the doors. I told him that is how school always started years ago with a prayer and the Pledge. But it gave me a good feeling last night that someone still does that inspite of what everyone says these days.

And yes, I have written my Congressman and I have gotten help from him also and the Attorney General of Florida. We have to stand up for our rights so stop sitting on your butt and just do it. Write, e-mail, fax but do it.

We rode by Rockledge High School the other morning, just before school started. Around the flag pole was about 8 young adults (students), holding hands and obviously in prayer. Since no adult was present, it must have been legal. That was a pleasant surprise, and very refreshing. billy

                            Rally Round the Flagpole....

when Bobby Jr. (now 32) was in H>S> they stopped prayer in school but allowed Christians or anyone who wanted to pray some time to go in the yard and pray around the flagpole. Bobby was out there everyday. ;-)
