This was really cool listening to the old timers talk and seeing some of the cars. I hope this will continue to be a tradition.

Kudos to Jerry for his efforts to preserve the history of this sport.
I think you’d be hard-pressed to find a more knowledgeable person especially when it comes to Modifieds no matter the region.
Jerry bids farewell and a thank you to the Modified Reunion faithful this past Friday.

You have left your mark on the whole Speedweeks/World Series adventure. Take a bow, because you were in the right place at the right time, recognized the opportunity and set something in motion that has made lots of race fans happy!
Sorry I missed it this year; its the first one I couldn't make it to, but I certainly heard some good reviews about the day.

I had heard that Dave Dion was interested, and was hoping to stop by. Never did see or meet him. Any idea how I could reach him???
Geoff Yoder is a long-time Modified owner, first with a series of cars that ran mainly at Reading PA, and has more recently been an avid supporter of Vintage racing (owns 4 of them...!), and couldn't think of more capable hands to continue on. Great guy, very knowledgeable, and enthusiastic as he'll.
I can see nice growth for this show as it goes on with different drivers at the controls.
They will get all the help and support I can give them.

We had a great time,as usual, with the NAPA 15 chevy. Not a mod, but a lot of people stopped by for a look see. Had a blast on the track too, till my brand new oil pump belt popped
No harm done. Shut it down fast. I want to thank the SLM team who helped me put on the spare belt I always carry in the car.
Thanks again for all the good times with this event and all the really KEWL racers we met..
-JIM-RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

I hope you've had fun Jim. You and Virginia have been behind me all the way, and it will never be forgotten.
If all goes according to plan, I will get a chance of a lifetime.... Bob Krollage with the beautiful 7-11 Coupe has offered yours truly the seat in that car for next year. In all my years of following this stuff, it will be my first time in a Modified with the engine running...!
If I grew up a fan of other sports, there is zero chance I would get to meet Bradshaw, Staubach, Aaron, Bird, Nicklaus, or McEnroe.... but I grew up a Modified fan.... I got the chance to meet most of my heroes, talked to even more of them, and created friendships with most of them. I feel like the luckiest fan of ANY sport out there.....

Jerry,
It was great to meet you finally and i truly enjoyed the mod reunion. I wish i could have talked to you more but you were busy, busy, busy every time i saw you.
It was kool to meet some other forum members even if it was briefly, I now have a person instead of just a name to relate to.
Had a good time hanging with Jim and Virgina through the evening as well.
Congrats on the ride Jerry......you have certainly put in the work for it!Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

I sure hope you understand the busy, busy part. I would LOVE to spend more time socializing, and next year, I get my chance to be a guest instead of host.
It was nice meeting you too, and I appreciate the efforts to make it there. Next time, we'll have more time to BS, and maybe have a beer together...!
