Last new race track???
Got to thinkin about this yesterday...... When was the last time a new short track was built in the state of FL. ? Not rebuilt or reopened but from the cow pasture up.

I Would Say The Now Shut Down Thundercross In Okeechobee -
ThunderBowl near Ocala Speedway was built not that many years ago, but it stuggled and finally closed. It raced everything from motorcycles to mini sprints, but i think it was mostly a go-cart track. And BTW, there is a new go-cart track taking shape in Ocala. But don't tell anybody cause it's a secret. LOL!Comment

i think Okeechobee was the last one but closed down years ago and is gone already.

Yea that would be a good place for a track but then you have to find someone thats wants to really promote it and not just count on the races and back gate to pay for the nite.Comment

SandMountian Speedway in Ft Mead. It has Never officially opened due to some red tape is what the rumor is. The motocross track has been running but not the oval track.
