almost 23 years ago. As someone that went to Sunshine every Sat night back then and by the way the grandstands looked I wasn't alone. Not to put a dim light on the new Sunshine, but you are not going to draw those drivers back because not many of them are still racing. Those were the days when the likes of the Copes and Pletcher and other great local drivers started near the back and just like Jimmy Cope at the end fighting for one of the top 4 spots. People can blame the promoters, Nascar, weather, etc., etc., however, fans want to see a show and those were great shows, starting halfway plus to the rear made that happen. Not many racing series back then to take away from a local week night event.
