  • Southern Sportsman and Florida Mini Stock

Both the Southern Sportsman and Florida Mini Stock Series will be racing at Orlando Speedworld this Friday night. Looking forward to an exciting night of racing. As a point of interest both series will be returning to the inversion system originally used in both series in which last race winner starts in the eleventh position and top ten qualifyers pull pills for starting order.

A big inversion will help the quality of the show a LOT. The SSS cars are capable of coming from the back to run at the front. If there's a good field, it should be an entertaining show.

This should help alot. I never understood why the new owners got away from it.

Looks like it's the Patrick show this year. Doesn't look like anyone has anything that can run with him.

One reason Patrick runs so well is the effort he and his team put in... They showed up for three OSW open practices earlier in the season and worked constantly on the car all day Friday... He then drove a super clean race after starting 11th, so my hat is off to him and his crew... Both the SSS and FMSC races were quite good... The FMSC cars were so close in time and it made for a really good race... Good drive by Marty Niekens to get the win... Johnathon Camp didn't make to many friends, but he was exciting to watch and did a heck of a job after getting shuffled all the way to the back... Good to see a nice field of Minis even with a few of the regular "heavy hitters" missing...

Oh I know about Patrick and how hard he works to be ready. Our team has raced him a number of times over the years. That's why I said he's going to be hard to beat in this years SSS races.
