How about some information on what's happening. An entry list, rumors, etc. You know. Promote. I'm planning on going to both tracks and would like to know what to expect. Thanks, billy

East Bay put on a good show, just to much local classes to suite me (just my preferences). Danny Martin passed Kenny Adams coming off turn 4 of the last lap to win. Kenny had led since the start. Good Race. Ocala, I'm not gonna bash you. I just hope you had a bad night track wise. I'll try and make it back for the next ASCS race and hope the track is better. At least it's dirt. Great crowd also. The worst part of both shows was having to put up with the same announcer. billyLast edited by billy badd; 04-13-2008, 01:05 PM.

Both tracks were $15.00 but E/B gave a Senior discount, so theirs was $12.00for us old goats. E/B put on a good show, just to many local divisions to suit me, but the limited sprints did a good job (16). Gene Lasker won the feature (he turned over in the 360 feature). The E/B track looked like an asphalt track by the end of practice, but was raceable (?). Ocala's track appeared to be very slippery. The cars couldn't get a grip and that led to a lot of spinouts and wrecks. I'm not blaming Ocala, as dirt tracks have a mind of their own, and they're new to the dirt business. Maybe the next time they're there it will be better. If not, then it's Ocala's fault, but not yet, at least in my opinion. Each track had about 24 sprints (ASCS starts 20 in the feature). Down here, unless they hook a couple of the ASCS regions together, this is probably the best we can hope for. A local show with the ASCS banner. Hope this helps Gary. billy
PS. Bryn Gohn won the 360 feature in Ocala Friday night.

Hey thanks for coming and thanks for the feedback. The track was very smooth and slippery. Slippery takes horespower out and puts driver in. My goal is to have the track contsantly changing. That equals different winners. The 19 was running 1-2ft from the wall all the way around turn 1 & 2. Have to admit I've never seen that there before.

You also need some grip in the track. There were to many cautions and wrecks to make it interesting. The sprint drivers, for the most part, are very good, experienced drivers, and just about all of them had some kind of problem. Yes it was a very smooth and mostly dust free track. It was very interesting to me the Bryn Gohn, the winner, was probably one of the least experienced out there. Hang in there Ocala, it'll get better with time. Thanks for the reply. At least you guys are trying and accepting feedback without getting upset. Thanks for running the sprints early. Now if only E/B would only listen. billyLast edited by billy badd; 04-14-2008, 07:05 AM.
