Rex Hollinger - 2012 TBARA
Confirmed as a teammate to Johnny Gilbertson in the #85, out of the Steele Performance Parts shop in Tampa. Known as the “Boneman”, he will run for Rookie of The Year in 2012, and will be bringing some of his own sponsorship to the #85, for full TBARA season. “This might be the first 50-year-old rookie,” according to Johnny Gilbertson. Hollinger competed in 3 TBARA races, and one IPSCA non-wing race, in 2011.

Yeah, its going to be an interesting year. I've never "toured" before, or even raced out of state. Everything depends on me keeping it together and in one piece. In racing things can change from one second to the next, so I'll keep my eye on the ball and make sure the belts are tight.

I've been prepping in the off season, and have a new one-piece fire suit, Nomex underwear, a HANS and a full-containment seat. The first two races for our season are at New Smyrna, a track where I have only driven 4 cylinder cars, so I am sure those will be breath taking!

Actually .....

I meant that he won the Winston Cup Rookie Of The Year award at 48 years old . And who could forget Harry Gant winning 4 in a row at age 51 then narrowly missing number 5 when he lost his brakes with 20 to go and finished 2nd.
