Opening night this Saturday at Punta Gorda

This Saturday night it's the opening night of the Punta Gorda Speedway 2012 racing season.

And we are starting it off with a bang , the Super Late Models are back for 100 Laps of door to door racing. Also the Pro Trucks and Rookies Trucks are here with the Road Warriors, Legends, Perfect Pest Control 4 cly and Bandoleros will all beginning their 2012 points season. There is a new grandstand gate opening time of 4:00 with qualifying at 5:45 with racing around 6:15. The weather is going to warm up and the action will surely be hot on the 3/8 mile banked asphalt. As always the food is great so come hungry. So grab the kids and don't miss Punta Gorda Speedways opening night this Saturday night Jan 21. Tickets are still 10.00 for adults, 8:00 for seniors and 12 and under are still free!!! Pre entries for the Late models are looking strong looks like a 20+ car field.

Man some fast cars were here tonite in practice. 19 Supers already in the pits and more confirmed for tomorrow. Darrell Shelnut, Joe Boyd, Wayne Anderson, Randy Anderson, Travis Hansen, T J Duke, Billy Bigley, Dylan Bigley, Todd Allen, Keith Lilly, Steve Gill, Patrick Starpoli, Amanda Ferguson, BJ Mcloud, Richie Anderson, David King, Tommy King, Mike Finn, David Weaver, Mike Knotec and more expected to take the green flag tomorrow for the PGS opening night Super late model 100 lapper, this is going to be a great race so make plans to be here.
