Bob, that was filmed in June, 2010. The show was going along great when a massive monsoon swept over the track. It dumped several inches of rain in an hour or so, but Crash A Rama eventually ran to completition. There was about 8" of water in the "X" by the time the figure 8 busses raced! Man, it was ugly, but that show runs rain or shine. -
And a certain photographer braved it out, stayed the whole night, and even shot the demo derby from inside one of the buses that remained in the infield. Even ended up with some shots from that night in the Jan 2011 Car and Driver magazine.Comment

Thats cool Mike. The TV was produced well. I do remember them showing the last with Larrys wrap in the rain with him and the crew popping a beer. They had MOE and Fordzilla on there. That had to be good exposure for Moe and his bunch. Thanks Rex I wanted to go to the Lil 500 this year but I don't think I'll make it. Fuel cost just too much for Social Security. LOL!Comment

I am sorry I just couldn't make it. Diesel fuel is just so durned expensive. I wish I could trade my truck for a gas engine. I hope you guys had fun. Robert was there with Phill Ellis and his family. I hope Robert took some pictures.Comment
