Sigh... spoken like a true non-Floridian. "Cracker" refers to our heritage as a cowboy and cattle state. In the 19'th century, this territory was filled with wild cattle, and the cowboys and poineers who herded them. It was our first big cash crop, long before oranges and cocaine.

We were not always filled with retired yankees.

As for Announcer Dave, I think he could have replaced the hat with a turban and looked just like a Al Queda leader. Or maybe Wolfman Jack.

Ya, i'm a cracker.....(has to do with the whips the cowboys used). Dave called some of the races i was in along with others i was in the stands...he's a one of a kind!
