Saturday night at CCMP i was visiting drivers and my first stop was to see Joe and Lori Winchell... he had a car i had not seen before so i asked him about it. well i met a most wonderful man and it is he who built and owned the car. it is the 237! well this mans name is Marty Handshaw!!! Im sure some of you racing encyclopedias know of this wonderful man but many dont. Thats my reason for this post. Soon i will interview Marty and get photos and share it all with you.
in the mean time, joe sent me to a website that absolutely blew my mind with some photos that are AWESOME!
Joe Winchell, Billy Bigley, Jr., Dickie Anderson, Gary Balough, Pete Orr, Ronnie Bacelo, benny parsons in the 237, Bobby Brack, Mario Maresca! and sooooo many more. they are all VERY young handsome men!

They bring back memories

Those pictures brought back a lot of memories from Hialeah and Miami Hollywood Speedway Park, Desoto, West Palm Beach and other tracks. A lot of the pictures were the one that Bobby 5x5 Day took. Bruce Griffin helped sell pictures for Bobby and I.

Good to see you posting. Yes I recognized several of Bobbys pictures. I saw a lot of people I haven't heard of in a long time. I saw 1 picture of Butch Lindley, Dick Trickle, Dave Scarbrough, man just a treasure trove. Do you remember Jim Kelly? He raced at Saramana Golden Gate, sunshine and I think he raced at Hialeah a little. Well him and I spent about an hour and a half going over the pages of that site. Its a keeper. Bob............
