  • Just saw Dale JR. driving a Ford!!!!

No really. I just saw Jr. driving his dads '66 convertible Mustang leaving Sr. house in Palm Beach Gardens. I haven't seen him there in years.

I am not doubting you at all. I had no idea Dale Sr. had a house there. It is just not a place I would ever picture the Earnhardts. Sort of like the Beverly Hillbillies, LOL.

A lot of old farts have a house in Florida..
I think it's a law that when you get old, you have to move to Florida or Arizona......

I don't know if many people know of the love that Sr. had for salt water fishing. When I built Mike Smidth ( the baseball hall a fame player) house, he was good friends with Sr. and he would come over all the time. That was the first time i met Sr. They put together a fishing trip for our group one weekend but my son had a race out of state that weekend and I couldn't make it. That Monday at work everybody said Sr. was a drunken redneck and they had a great time. That was over 15 years ago.

I see and talk to Treasa almost every week. She stays down here a lot. Her boat captain is my employers captain also. My employer lives 5 house from Treasa and one of the homes I am building right now is only only house away from Earnheart.

Sr. 50 something foot sport fisherman called "The Intimidator" stays at the house and his luxury yacht "Sundays Money" at the marina just down the road.

P.S. Also built Gorden's house down here that his ex wife Brook lives in now and did Joe Amota's house last year. They are all just regular people.

            Darren. I wouldn't BS ya.

The only reason I posted this is that it was strange seeing Jr. here. I have not seen or talked to him at the house since he left DEI. If he is here Monday I will stop by his place and see if we can get some fishing in while he is here.

There is great snook I his and my boss's back yard. We can hop in The Intimidator and be fishing in 130 ft water catching mutton snapper in 20 minutes or we could ride out west to my bass honey hole where bass have been caught up to 18lbs. Redneck living at it's best!!!

Jim. A couple weeks ago at PGS you were the one person from this site that I tried to find and meet when you were at that race. I went up to a 76 car but it wasn't you. Hopefully next time. Did you stay for the SLM race?

Sorry we missed each other. We hung out with Tony C. and Robbie Cooper. I saw that #76 MOD though. Looked like a relic from the MOD reunion..
We left Sunday morning to beat the traffic. At Wildwood it came to a dead stop about 11:30 and took 2 1/2 hours to make it to the next exit at Belleview.
With Wayne Anderson as fast qualifier we kinda' knew who would win the SLM race anyway. Wild and crazy finish to the MOD race with Randy spinning out in 3 on the last lap and given 2nd place finish....??
We will be at the MOD Reunion with my 'toy' the NAPA 15 Chevy. If you make it up then come by and say 'HI'.

We will have to catch up with each other at another one soon. A lot of good racing coming up. Are you running during Speedweek?

You should have stuck around for the race. With the sound of it you would have gotten home about the same time. Wayne wasn't the fast qualifier, Steve Gill was and BJ was second than Anderson, Bigly and us. It don't matter much where you qualify as long as you are in the top 10 anyway. Everybody in the top 10 draws a pill. It usually makes for a good race. And a good race it was in memory of Jack Smith.

Easy there big boy!!!! It was shared with me and I was also surprised when it came out of the mouth of this gentlemen. It was his description. I haven't shared any of my personal experiences with Sr. yet but I can say alcohol was involved.

About 18 years ago I was PM building a house on Jupiter Island for an international golf star who's name I can't mention due to a confidentiality agreement I signed. My employer invited him on that fishing trip to West End with and our group. That Monday during break everybody was talking about the fishing trip the fish and the drinking. The story was told in front of about 15 people and has been shared by all of them 100's of times over the last 18 years and you are the first person that has ever taken offense to it. You have to realize that this gentalmen 18 years ago had a 130 ft yacht that he landed his helicopter on and we were building he a $15M home on Jupiter Island and owned homes all over the world. It was the first time they met. In his eyes and many others on that trip. That is what they saw. I have also been to several parties with this gentlemen at his home when he was drunk. It was all good times. They are all just regular people. They get drunk. LOL

I'm sure even Treasa would get a kick if I told her that there is a guy that is a long time fan of Dale's and he thinks that Dale wasn't a redneck and didn't think Dale ever got drunk.LMAO Dale only drove race cars a few hours a week. The rest of the time he was a regular person just like you and me. I've been told you are a big redneck. Have you ever been drunk????? If somebody met you for the first time and you were drunk. How would they describe you???? These are just regular people Ron.

"you got more mouth than you have money or brains"
Ron. You are standing in a glass house throwing stones. Let me help you a little. It's a$$ hole. You know. The brains thing.
