Commentary
The Top Gun Sprints made their last visit of 2011 to East Bay Raceway on Saturday November 26, 2011. There were 24 cars at the track to give fans three heat races and a 25 lap feature race.
Shane Kreidler in the 88X car had the pole with A J Maddox in the 3A on the outside for the start of the K&N heat race. A J got the better start then the 11 of Brett O’Donnell got a pass and took the lead and the win. The 27 of Troy Knowles had the pole for the SHOCK DYNO heat race, with Rich Alexander in the 8 car on the outside. It was the 27 that made the better start then the 92 of Matt Kurtz made the pass and took the second heat win. Robbie Smith in the 6S car had the pole with Shawn Murray in the 98 for the start of the HOOSIER TIRE heat race. Robbie Smith took the lead and the heat win.
The 98 of Shawn Murray had the pole for the start of the BOOMTRUX.COM feature race event, with the 83 of Mark Ruel Jr. alongside. After a parade lap, the race went to green and it was A J Maddox in the 3A car that took the lead, after several cautions Robbie Smith in the 6S got around A J and never looked backed and took the checkered flag, followed by Danny Martin in the 43 car, A J Maddox in the 3A car, Matt Kurtz in the 92 car and Mark Ruel Jr. in the 83 car rounding out the top 5.
