Carl Edwards has to be one of the classiest racers ever. He handled that situation better run any of us would have. Hopes he gets it next year, as he would make for a very respectable Champion in his own right.

Carl isnt my favorite but he showed nothing but great racing and great sportsmanship today. Proud of him... However......

Thats the best Nascar race I have seen in a long time and both those drivers were the class of the show.

PS: I'd bet Carol had a laundry problem the last 10 laps. LOL!

I didn't have a dog in this race but I am glad Tony won being he won half f the races in the chase.......Racing should still be about winning races.....I know it isn't really anymore but I am glad the guy who won the most won the championship.......

i may never wet my pants again. I was so tense i couldnt breathe... Tony is the epitome of auto racing. he is so focused. i sure wanted him to win but watching him work for it is what makes him so special. Tony has proven himself more times than most any driver. the odds were against him even getting into the chase... R U KIDDIN ME?.... HE IS AN ODDS BEATER!!!! WTG SMOKE!

I like Tony ok but he is a little cocky to suit me. I wanted to see Carl win. He's a class act as Tony is but he had 2 championships under his belt. They both can go fast and turn left....

Tony is a bit cocky and he is daring and he is just what he is. Thats what the attraction is besides he is one of the best racers in history. people are drawn to "bad guys" in a tough sport. I think Jimmy Johnson is an awesome driver...but he doesnt get my blood warm. kinda boring.
Some people like the calm "nice" guiys and some like the "bad" boys. thats whats so much fun... everyones different but.................THE BAD GUY WON!!!!

Just WOW!!!

When all you heard last year on Monday morning was NASCAR's DONE!!!! Five Time has killed the Series. Then NASCAR announced the three new things for 2011 one was the new points System, the NEW noses, and something else (help me I getting old). Many said it was never going to work. Then 2011 takes off with the crowds were up just a little from 2010. The "BOYS HAVE at IT!!!" hicked in to another level. Looking back at 2011. It will be remember as one of the BEST years the CUP Chase has ever scene. Congrat's to #14 Team they made their FANS and AJ PROUD!!!! They said that Tony was one of the top five drivers ever. I agree!!!! As hard as Carl tired there was nothing he could (or anyone else) of done except take four tires at the last stop. Tony's Crew Chief is on the level of Chad (and his new contract should show it). Now it's only 3 months till it starts all over!!!!!! FEB 26th 2012!!!! WHO's your pick for the Daytona 500??????

Like the man Tony got his car number from,if it has wheels I can drive it on any surface. It was refreshing to see Tony make things happen on the restarts as opposed to conservatively waiting to see what sorts out. Thats what is called racing and if you can do it good enough you can become a champion. Well done Tony!!!

With all these mannequin-types in NASCAR racing today, Tony may be the last of the drivers you can put in a class with the likes of A. J. Foyt, Mario Andretti and Mark Donohue... the guy just gets the job done... He could go to Formula One next year and make those guys look like Thanksgiving turkeys!! Anyone remember Tony coming to Orlando SpeedWorld in 1991 as an 18 year old kid and winning the Florida State TQ Midget Championship race?

Wasnt rooting for him, but I will give the devil his due - he earned every bit of the championship. He drove the hell out of that car in every chase race. Nothing left on the table.
