Pits open 9 am
front gate opens 11 am
racing starts between 1 or 1:30pm

Pit gate opens Friday at Noon, practice starts at 3:00PM, racing begins at 8PM

Practice resumes after the 2 features.

if your camping for the weekend, get set up early.

Looks like a plan for this one this weekend. After all the fun at NSS, why not do it 2 weekends in a row..
Making plans now to be down either Friday or Saturday.. No car though for the race ......

Can't wait to get back down to CHARLOTE COUNTY SPEEDWAY I know that's not the name of the track today, But thats what jack called it for many, many years. Got to meet a lot of good people down there and i'm looking forward to seeing them all again, So yall eat a bunch of turkey on thanksgiving, sleep and rest on friday, Then come watch the racers put on a hell of a show this weekend in honor of a pretty cool cat, my friend MR JACK SMITH RIP

Wish i could attend, i got to Fla last night and will travel back home Sunday.

That will cause me to miss the main event.

This should have been a 2 night (fri, sat) or less show.

3 divisions which i would consider "premier" spread out over 3 days filled with additional divisions I, and many others have absolutely NO interest in seeing.


Because it is the Jack Smith memorial i wish the track a successful weekend and thank them for putting on such a show for a man who loved and supported the sport as Jack did.

as it always is you cant please everyone... i commend punta gorda... whether it is a 3 day or a 2 day event. ITS FOR JACK....it doesnt matter whether or not who its for...its a 3 day event...it alawys one last hoora for a man that did great things in the sport of racing in florida and elsewhere for that matter..

Hope to see many of you there...i will be racing the 4cyl bomber race on friday night and will be there all weekend camped out...

I have a problem with most "Memorial" races, in that it does nothing to support that persons families. Mostly done to get the sympathy customer.

There have been several Memorial races where 100% of dollars brought in went to the surviving family. FAR too many more are about filling the tracks pockets, not the families.

If this really is "for Jack", then I would expect his loved ones to be recieving a nice check. Otherwise, it's just leeching off the name that many of us respect.
