  • '81 World Series pic ID?

Who's in the 1 car? (Shear in the 36, Eddy in the 88):

Not a clue, but cool as hell.

Also, if you look close, Mike Eddy doesn't have gloves, full face helmet or even a window net.

wanna' say roerhrig(sp), maybe even a fun machine that balough would run.

harold fair is my last guess. tom harrington?

that was the greatest time, of my memories, of the wildest, radical looking machines around. sure do miss those wild, radical looking cars.

I'm thinking it's Balough. The car was billed as being a Corvette if I remember correctly. Funny how this one pic illustrates why we all remember those days fondly and what is sorely lacking in LM racing these days.

I was just a kid. but I remember Hanley,Trickle and Balough having crazy looking cars that year (almost no windshields, and they looked like they were sitting on the floor pan) ...my guess is Balough

Everything about it says Balough - except that he was never slow enough to get overwhelemd by two cars like it looks like he is in that picture.

Its actually Gary Morton from Canada and he drove the car 21 - It appears the two was covered for the race. I have another photo of him down there at this race.

Gary Morton from Canada race Supermodified, never hear him in a Late Model.
There is a Gary Morton from Detroit Michigan, and his number is 21.

Could possibly be Ed Hoffman. He ran a car just like that one in the midwest with Trickle ,Shear and those guys.

Didn't think it was Balough; he would've been in that wildly-offset Hanley creation that year.
