  • Jayski is reporting David Reutimann will be replaced by Mark Martin & Michael in 2012

They are saying David is out, Michael will drive restrictor plate races, and Mark will run a partial schedule as sponsorship allows.

I hope this is not true, but from what I can gather this could be true !

Hopefully David can find another ride !!

It's a blessing in disguise, David needs to get away from MWR. Hopefully he will get picked up by a racing team instead of an advertising team.

Goodluck David, I'm returning my rent-a-couch.

There's no good rides available. I'd hate to see him wind up in a start-and-part situation, but it might be the only thing out there.

It is true. David is under contract for next year with MWR,so they will have to pay him his base salary unless he signs with another team. A couple possibilities are the Stewart Haas part time ride in the Go-Daddy car, and a Nationwide ride with Rusty Wallace, we will have to see what happens.

And there are still people saying money has nothing to do with it!! David is a good driver and a good guy.

Can't believe Mark would lower himself to drive a Toylioder let alone for a looser team as MWR. If he does I will have lost a lot of respect for the old fart. Now let;s see what happens if it does. Drove a Ford for years, has a Ford dealership, then went to Hendrick and now has a Chevrolet dealership. Is there a Toylioder dealership in his future?

                  Made in the USA!

I guess NASCAR is going the way of the country. Poor leadership and poor decisions. Sad...

I agree dd, just proves, these guys are bought and sold every day. In a way it might be a decent idea, after all the only thing Waltrip ever won is a plate race and Martin necer was orth a crap at plate races anyhow. Alo in my opimion Martin isn'tvll that great nyhow, just not aggresive enough and at MWR he wont get muh to be aggresive with anyhow.
My focus is Reutiman, hope he spanks MWR.

                          David

I wouldn't be suprised to see Childress put something together for David. I get a little bit of inside word from some people I know, and Childress has always wanted David. Before MWR he passed up driving the 07 for Childress to race at Michael...HORRRRIBLE DECISION!

I'm glad he did sign a new contract and will get paid for next year. A deal with RCR would be great, but what about Richards 2 grandson's? billy

                              ...

I don't look to see them in Cup until a few years down the road, maybe an appearance or two, but he and David have always had a good relationship.
