Orlando FL 10-28-11 - All Compressor & Equipment steps up to help the Charity 200 Race Weekend in a big way !
Owner and racer Jim Cowhey Jr. along with his wife have stepped to cover some final sponsor needs for the Charity 200 event. They will sponsor the trophies for the event, the Champ Kart Division, Seven $100 awards and in a huge step bought 100 laps at $40 per lap to be sure the laps were covered for the event. That alone means that we were able to put $2,000 toward the Pro-Truck 100 purse and $2,000 is already set for the families.
" I have to say when I got the phone call from Mr. & Mrs Cowhey, and they told me they would cover $2,700 in sponsor needs, I was so happy. He then told me they were going to cover all 100 Laps and I nearly fell out of my seat at work. I have been really praying for the event, things have been more of a struggle this year, and we had to drop the Late Models off the event. When I got that call it was such a blessing, and answer to my prayers". stated Bristol.
" This now allows us to sell the laps to anyone who would like to join on a lap for a minimum of $10 up to the $40. Now all the money collected on the double up laps goes right to the families. If folks would like to do a lap they can call 407-497-0448 or e-mail rbmini68@aol.com".
It was also announced earlier in the week that the Rookie Trucks have been added to the Friday night December 9th schedule, they will run 30 laps. Alan Jay Automotive Network has stepped up to give the rookies, who normally run for no purse, a $100 visa card to the winner, $50 gas card for second and $25 gas card for third.

Blackwater Integration and Florida Suncoast Van Lines have teamed up to cover the track costs for the event, allowing all the money that comes in at the event to go directly to the families.
Donnie Nerone and Hoosier Tire have donated 4 tires for drawings for the event. Two tires will be given to one of the Pro-Truck drivers that pre-enter by December 1st. We will also give 2 tires individually to two Super-stock drivers that send in a pre-entry form by December 1st. We will draw and announce the winners on December 6th.
