Rookie Trucks added to Friday Night Charity Race Weekend Card
Orlando FL 10-25-11 - Event promoter Rick Bristol announced today that Rookie Trucks will be added to the Charity 200 Race Weekend.
" After several phone calls and requests I feel we need to add the rookie trucks to the Charity 2oo Race Weekend events. Several will move to the Pro-Trucks at our event so we will add this event to the Friday night card. This will allow them to qualify for the Pro-Truck 100 then compete in the Rookie race later in the night. They will then have time to go over or fix the truck before Saturday nights race if needed" stated Bristol.
The rookie trucks will compete for 30 Laps (based on truck count) on Friday night December 9th. The starting line up will be determined by a pill draw for this race. Again those that will be moving to the Pro-Trucks will qualify at 6:45 for the 100 field. They then can prepare for the 30 Lap event later in the evening. This event is open to the young drivers, and those who have competed in the rookie trucks at the tracks that have run them this year and the Triple Crown series. Drivers who will compete in them both need to submit pre-entry for Pro-Truck race with entry fee and them write on the sheet near top (will compete in Rookie race).
There is no purse as per usual, but I will try to come up with something for at least the top 3 drivers. If the rookie driver is only competing in the rookie race for that Friday night they will receive a free pit pass. Rest of crew pays regular pit admission. If you are running in both, you will need top pay the pit pass admission both days.
