i sure did love the truck series. I agree Frasson, Lots of guys cant get out there two nights. I mean epecially if the track is say DESOTO or Ponte Gorda and you live in say Daytona. Food, and motel, room or two, depending on size of crew. Qualifying is a little boring but doesn't take all that long, thankfully.

Just to respond to the threads. I am not using anyones money, but my own, ask my wife. I dont hide behind screen names, everyone knows me. And Dueces wild you said I'm back dooring Rick, no way I told you by your own admission that I was working on this three years ago. I also have proof that I have asked to help Rick in the past and have been turned down. So put your real name up, I am moving forward and I truely hope Rick does the same. Also if you ask Rick I have gotten him sponsorship for the Truckers 200 in the past. I have nothing against Rick or anyone else. I want what is best for the trucks teams. When I was teching the trucks we tore down 5 trucks per week has anybody else done that? I don't think so.

A Final statement from myself on this !
I do not feel that Ronnie was slandering me or what I was trying to do after we talked on the phone. I appreciate the support from many about what we are trying to do. I do know Ronnie has made efforts to do some truck stuff over these last years. I am not sure what help he was talking about except the Charity 200 Race, which I asked him to help last year and he said he would, but did not show up. Ronnie did help us with a sponsor for the first year and I have always appreciated it. I am going to work toward what we have going, hope to have meetings this week and next to put out a tentative schedule and rules package by November 12th Triple Crown race at Desoto Speedway. That was my goal and I am trying to reach it. I beleive the answer to trucks is a series at various tracks with well enforced and cost cutting rules, to get things back in line and make it fun again. I feel this can be done or I would not be doing this. I want to have good purses for the drivers and work to have series sponsors and extra bonus money along the way, but most guys want to be teched and treated fairly first and foremost. That is my number one goal. The rules the same at 7 tracks, enforced the same way. The racers treated fairly at the series events, and made to feel we appreciate them. I will work hard to promote the series and set goals to finalize our rules changes over the season ahead to get the trucks back to the fun and affordable series it needs to be to have big counts again. I now put this post to rest, support the trucks how ever you feel is the best way. But a war of trucks will only put this all back a step again.
PS - Frass, the events are one day events, some tracks offer practices at there tracks on Wed, Thursday or Friday nights. It is hard to tell them not to have them, they are open to anyone. I consider some of your ideas as helpful and to be considered. ThanksRick Bristol

Just so you know.
Ronnie has spent untold amount of money from his own pocket. He has been working on this for several years. This program is about getting the trucks a Pro Series that would have a larger payout, level plaing field, it's own Officals Team, and even a possible TV pachage. You all know that will only helps the TRACKs, Teams, Sponsors on the Teams, and build the FANS BASE as well. So those of you who is trying to kill it. Look at who your trying to help or hurt.

I guess we will see! Seeing is believing! I just think he would have been out promoting this way before now. Come to the tracks and talking to all of the drivers/owners about what he is doing. He never has done any of that. Talking about it 3 years ago and nobody hearing from him since people think it is all BS. Just posting what he posted 3 years later with little to no contact to the racers just doesn't look good. Especially after Rick got it rolling again then making the comments on his post that he did! We will see!Originally posted by Bobby Diehl View PostRonnie has spent untold amount of money from his own pocket. He has been working on this for several years. Looks like someone struck a nerve here! I am my in no way starting any crap! I am just stating facts and responses to your remarks toward Rick and your posts. You need to read what you wrote. It was done in poor taste and you don't do what you say. The best thing about telling the truth is you never have to remember what you said. Think about it! You are also wrong in saying I have no respect for Jack! I have the up most respect for Jack and what he has done for our sport. I have never talked to you at the track and told you that I use a screen name to start crap. I don't start crap. Like I said seeing is believing! You have opened the can of worms now so put up or shut up! Prove me wrong! I am done with this thread and have spoken me peace. Just going to sit back and watch it unfold.Originally posted by mctimeron View PostFirst off Dueces Wild I remember you telling me at the track that you use this screen name to start crap!!! People should have to use their given name.
The thing is when you hind behind a name it doesn't shows your true colors. I as many have always use our own names and many given their contact number. All the boards should only let you on if you do.
Here's the info post on Down Home Racing:
Wayne Breeden posted in Down Home Racing.

Just remember if there is no support the chance of getting the sponsors needed to make it better for everyone. Teams and their sponsors (TV would make it much easier to get one), The local tracks as being a feeder of the Pro Touring Series, and the FANS (which bring even more reasons for having sponsor on the Trucks and the Series and even at the tracks).
Remember THINK SMALL BE SMALL!!!!!!! It's only one day. Heck even the ones who think it won't work (but would like to see it make or not) should be there.

Sorry I would be there, but My Family needs the strength of being together to make plans for the funeral. And Kaylee (the grand daughter still a far way from leaving the intensive care unit at St. Joseph's). Thanks to those who have send their prays. It is working. Please keep it up.

I dont write on here much. I will make it short and sweet. I know things haven't gone as fast or like what Ronnie is used to. Having said that he has still endured, spent his own money, all to try and help racing down there in Florida. Some of you racers are the most ungrateful group that I have witnessed on this site. Why hide behind some phoney name. Makes you superman I guess. Ronnie you need to do what we discussed and let them find their own way. All of the good racers suffer because of a few that want to keep bs started. I hope Matt wins the championship, ya'll loose Ronnie.

Ronnie and Rick
It not a fight betweeen you two about a trucks series it a fight on what the track owners want and how they want to run things and who has control of things. Racing should not be this way. I can remember when we had a meeting onces a years in Jan to make racing schedule up for the year with the track owners and all ther traveling series to make Up short track racing here in Florida. WHAT HAPPEN TO ALL THIS A SYSTEM THAT WORKED????? If we still had it you Two would not be having words LOL
Here is some facts on what I went thru to help the tracks outin 2010 and my thoughs on all this.
When I left CCMP ( a track that had 15 to 25 trucks every race) I went to Desoto for a few month in 2010 They were only getting 5 to 7 trucks per race 10 on a good night . John asked if I could get more and I said yes. I worked a good pay out and stick with the rules the truck count got higher every week ( all but when there was three truck races the same night) In helping I got 15 and up to 22 truck on many nights. I was helping because I love racing and it seemed the trucks needed a boost. I also put some of my own money in to help boost the trucks.
I was passing the idea around about putting a series together for 2011 I was told that it would not happen tracks owners dont want any series running at tracks that the tracks was going start there own series . So I dropped helping with the truck because tracks said they did not need high purses and the help any more and could handle it on there own.
Since 2010 I have not heard of any track having 18 or more trucks at a track unless it was a special event with a higher payout. Most of the time tehy are getting 5 to 7 maybe 10, Is it the rules, payout, bad attitude at track,
I have helped in sponsorship in the Triple Crown race and will be in the Charity 200 also. I have given my comments to Rick on what I thinks happen and some ideas on a truck series. I am hoping to see some of them come about here soon for the series.
To me I think Rick and Ronnie have great Ideas I also know that some track dont like Ronnie and some dont like Rick which makes it hard. I am finding out a lot of owner really dont like me either I say O well on that mattter.
My feeling on the whole matter is I am so tired of hearing well its my race track and its going to be my way or you dont have to come here.
It takes the races track owners and the race car drivers to make it all work you have to have both why piss off the drivers .
I have heard well i tryed that years ago and it did not work so I am not trying again. Well history does repeat it self how many time has the mini skirt come and gone I am sure the first time it was not a good idea either but it become one. I know in my Business what did not work in 1995 is working for me now.
Rick and Ronnie I think you both have your heart and soul in it for the truck Just maybe the track owners could get a meeting for both of you and them to work it all out to jsut make one damm good truck series.
Some people may agree with some or all of this and some may not and I understand but something has to be done for racing real soon here in Florida,
It not helping fighting back and forth on here let take the fighting turn it into making it all work better and we will get mor done.
To all track owner/ Car owners/Drivers and our great fans
Thru these hard time we all are having there is many ways to get the car count back up and fans in the stands we all just have to listen to each other and make it work. I say we all should work harder together to make racing much better here in Florida and help each other.
These are just my thoughts
