Third night of qualifying, third night of a driver making a late race pass for the win. This time it was the already nine time crowned "King of USMTS" Kelly Shryock. Starting 7th, Shryock slowly made his way up the 5 spots to 2nd place into a striking position behind leader Brian Bolin.
As the white flag came out so did Shryock coming out of turn #4 going by Bolin down the front straightaway and taking the lead. A yellow flag in sued so a green, white, checkered was all Shryock has to master for the win.
Tonight will be the biggest paying dirt track race in the state of Kansas, $15,000 to the winner, $1,500 to start the A-main and lot of money on down the line in other qualifying races. They announced that their are still tickets available for tonight.
load up the SUV and come on up or down to the Hummer, you will not be disappointed, I personally promise you that. Their has been great racing all three nights.
I have been forgetting to mention the B-Mods, I say sorry to all those serious racers that run the division. Nick Newton has represented the Kansas City racing area as well as one could. Nick from K. C. K. has won two of the three a-mains for the B-Mods. Their has been the a-main for the B-Mods tacked on to the A-Mod video each night I hope knew that, check it out their has been some great racing.
If you come down you will also be entertained and informed by a pair of great announcers for this event, also I have been negligent in giving them the credit for the call on the races.
The voice and I think heart and soul of USMTS, Lon Oelke, and Humboldt's own track announcer "here we go" Scott Steward.
You guys are two of the best, great job. Enjoy.
