Rex Robbins, founder of the ASA, sold both the ASA Series, and the ASA Track Memeberships to Steve Dale. When Dale was going broke, he sold the Membership division to Dennis Huth. Rex Robbins, who hadn't been paid by Dale, sold the Racing series rights to Ron Varney. Now both sides claim to have ownership of the ASA rights.

Problem is, Huth bought his division from Dale, who didn't have the legal rights to sell the Member Program, because he defaullted on the original purchase agreement. In short, Steve Dale sold a division he didn't own. Ron Varney purchased the rights to the Racing Series from Robbins... the original owner.

Now they each think they have the rights, since they both PAID someone for the rights.
