The end of almost two decades of racing action at Central Missouri Speedway came to an end Saturday night before a crowd of race fans that are wondering what they will be doing come around next April with no racing going on at the "need for speed" place we all call CMS.
Just about everyone was talking about the closing of the track, you can not blame Earl and Susan Walls for wanting to take a little time for retirement, doing some fishing in Alaska, just take it easy on a Saturday night. I think the rest of us will have more of an adjustment to deal with thank they will.

This night was a just make weight, run what you brung night and some pretty exotic creations showed up, perhaps the strangest and ended up being the winning car was Jason Bodenhammers modified. A late model by nature with a modified body, and Jason says , "drove like a sprint". Their was even some tire treating going on, man it stunk in the pits if you were by one of the cars with those tires.
The goings on prove for some entertaining racing and results.
The Chiefs game should be over so take a nap and then settle in for an hour of, The Last Hurrah On The Last Night at CMS. Enjoy.
