  • Dover Fans???

That looks pitiful with all the empty seats. That should be in a good market area, however, the fans are MAD (missing at Dover). There's a slight chance of rain. billy

I agree but again we have to remember, at most tracks LOTS and LOTS of additional seats were built during the "hey day". maybe 03-06??? Nothing is as good as back then, except maybe the re-po man! The big question is there less fans than BEFORE all these new seats were put in? LOL Those seats are long ago pd for. I mean look at NSS, were all those seats ever filled? Trust me, I doubt with all these extra seats the tracks will EVER be filled again. Why? I doubt the economy will ever be as good again. Trust me, as long as NASCAR can field 40+ cars again they will still be here.

I think if I were NASCAR, I'd give Dover one race a year, and try to find something West of the Mississippi River for the second race. Mr. Tuna, you make a great point, but I don't think the stands would have even been close to full without the new seats. There were a lot of empty seats today. billy

Oh I know that Billy, but I'm just saying these tracks have a LOT of seats, i bet there still were a LOT of people there. Nascar has tightened their belts and may have to more. Also during the "hey day' NASCAR was a big fad. Now its been bug a long time, people are used to it, I'm a NASCAR fan but nothinh like I was 10 yrs ago, the fad is gone. Take Daytona, I live 15 mis away, I personally wouldnt go if I had a free ticket. Too big, STILL too crowded, still too expensive, racing is boring unless you like demo derby. Just my opinions

I live 60 miles away and went to the first one, and that was it. I did use to go to the ARCA race and qualifying, but eventually gave that up also. billy
