Ran 107 NASCAR Winston Cup races between 1969-1978
No wins - 19 top ten finishes
No pole positions
Ran a total of 20,284 laps and led 25 of those
Had some of the best crashes in NASCAR history though... and yes, he did actually smoke cigars like this...

Cool shot Dave. Still would like to meet him someday. I believe he's still alive and living in SC.

One of his claims to fame, is that he was the car that David Pearson bounced off of on pit row, to get the win in the 1976 Daytona 500. That was the race he and Petty crashed coming to the flag.

He was also involved in a HUGE fire in the Permatex race, also at Daytona.

Great Picture!

Now THAT is what is missing from Cup racing these days. Frasson was indeed a real character. Got to meet him after the 500 back in '71 or '72. We had climbed the fence to sneak into the pits after the race and Frasson's garage stall was right there. He saw us sneak in and had a big smile and a kind word for us youngsters. We chatted for a couple of minutes and then went on our way. Helluva a nice guy.Big fun!!!
