  • Wingless sprints at Citrus this Saturday night!

    This Saturday night will be the final visit of the season for the Independent wingless Sprint cars at Citrus County Speedway.       to me , if it does not have a wing,it is a silver crown car. sprints have wings.

        Different chassis. Silver Crown cars are much longer wheelbase, us a much larger fuel tank. Basic look is the same though.

          Much like Frasson stated, Silver Crown cars are much different from non-wing sprints. 355 CI engines, longer wheelbase, transmissions, larger fuel capacity, quite a bit slower than sprints, but both take quite a set to wheel around!

            Interesting that there were more cars at Citrus for the Sprints than the Top Gun show at Bubbaville... Of course the Top Gun count was probably affected by the number of cars that got torn up at Bubba the other week, but still a nice showing at both tracks... Congrats to Mickey Kempgens who is turing into a heckuva Sprint Car chauffeur and to Boneman for not finishing dead last!
