The 4th Annual The Kim Allen Memorial and A Special 9/11 Tribute Saturday the 17th at the Hendry County Motorsports Park.
Last Saturday night, mother nature won at the Hendry County Motorsports Park, So, we have decided to move our 30 lap Street Stock, 9/11 Tribute race to this Saturday, September 17. All Emergency services personal, Sheriff, Police, Fire, EMS, FHP, FWC, And Military will get into this event absolutely free. You will not want to miss this special tribute with “LiL John rescue party 343”, the wheelie standing fire truck, sky divers and much more as we celebrate and remember our fallen hero’s.
The racing action heats up as The Sunoco United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series rolls into the Southern most dirt track in the United States for “The 4th Annual Kim Allen Memorial” Saturday, September 17th at The Hendry County Motorsports Park. Four years ago, Hendry County lost one of their favorite sons, Kim Allen. The Hendry County Motorsports Park and the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series has kept his memory alive every year with the running of The “Kim Allen Memorial Late Model Race”. Kim was very much involved with the community and was a father of five, a good husband and an excellent businessman. He was the vice president and branch manager of The Clewiston National Bank from 1982-93 and owner of Central Mobile Homes of Clewiston from 1993 until losing his battle against Colon Cancer on April. 17, 2007.
A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Hendry County School ESE program. To make a donation please contact Ken Kinney at 863-675-8888 or call 863-673-4325 for details.
The U.D.L.M.C.S. series prepares for the their 1st double points race ever. With all the rain outs this year the drivers points standings are unbelievable close with a 3 way tie for the third spot.
Keith Nosbisch is in 1st with 900 points
Johnny Collins 2nd with 880
Brandon Cameron 3rd with 840
Mark Whitener 3rd with 840
Darrel Padget 3rd with 840
Last years Rookie of the year, Christian Augspurger sits in 6th with 810 points.
With Only 180 points separating 1st through 11th this race will be a must see event. With the double points in play, this will give some teams the chance to get back in the mix of an already very close points race. This will be the only visit this year for The Sunoco U.D.L.M.C.S. Saturday, September 17th at the Hendry County Motorsports Park.
Also; running will be the Special 30 lap 9/11 Street Stock Tribute race, Open Wheel Modifieds, Mini Stocks, Sportsman, Pure Stocks, Mod Mini’s, V-8 Bombers, Late Models, and the ladies Powder Puff’s.
