I think he painted his cars green because everybody was superstitious about the color green on racecars.

      Nope
I though that some of the old LM racers were on here??
Ed was so cheep that they were white for years and he told everyone it was lighter when it was cheeper back then. He went to a action and bought 500 gal of green paint cheep so his cars were green.

      OK
how about that Port city car with a golden racing engine?
I love this you cant look this stuff up on your coumputer you got to know it.

Was that the year the Triple Crown went to Orlando, Sunshine, and Desoto? I think I was at all 3. What a blast, and the way a Triple Crown should be.

              1986
Butch was winning the race in hieleah and ran out of gas but jummy Cope pushed him on the last lap. Butch won the tripple crown that year. Then at the pay window butch traded pay with jimmy.
Its hard to find racers that will act like that now days..

              to old to rember.

The first 2 are right bit i think the 3 rd won was Jim Childers.
Wayne might have but not in my time.
He won a lot of sprint races but not a lot of SLM races. He did win a few of the big ones,

I thought off Wayne when you said dirt AND asphalt. He won a lot of LM races at East Bay and also won a bunch with TBARA with the Sprint. Back when they ran both Asphalt & Dirt about evenly.

OK, here's one, Nerone might know since it was his track...LOL...

Who was the only driver to win in *three* different divisions on the same night at the same track, driving for three different car owners?
