I heard there is a 100 lap super late model event this weekend at Charlotte? Is that true and if so any idea of who will be running?

Who are these Super Late guys? Independents? Part of a series? I see 6 races listed. Is this a "series" or just 6 dates for any Supers, not busy somewhere else, to run, with no points involved? I just wonder what to expect.
They show 8 other classes of cars in addition to the 100 lapper for the Super Lates. Is this realistic and will the Supers come at the end of the show? I sure hope not because by 11 o'clock or so, my "interest in racing meter" is almost reading zero. I can't help but feel as though 3 support divisions would be plenty along with a 100 lapper. And I know about the "back gate" but it just seems a shame that this is how tracks have to survive.
I'll be there and just hope for a smooth running show. You'll nee it with this many classes.

the staff at CCMP work hard towards a smoothe operation. the SLM race should be awesome with the drivers who have already signed in...
it looks like a "more than full" schedule so i too hope for the best. so far i have not been disappointed.
i am also looking forward to the Dan Benoit tribute as Dan deserves to be memorialized. He has been part of CCS since it's birth and he raced hard until his death. Now we will watch his son Codey follow in his footsteps! Codey is a serious racer and he is focused!
Come on down!

Ccmp!
"We're talking about big guns like Wayne Anderson, Steve Dorer, Wayne Morris, Jonny Kay, Kevin Macy and Ray and Perry Lovelady, just to name a few."
The SLM car count has been great and the staff at CCMP work very hard to keep the program moving along. Tonight IS a huge night! you don't want to miss it!
i am looking forward to the Dan Benoit tribute. Dan was one of the first people to race at CCS... his son Codey is now a force to be reckoned with!
COME ON down !!! RACIN STARTS AT 7 SHARP! Gates open at 4!

In reply to my own message posted yesterday ---- Yes, the super lates ARE independents and they put on a great show IMHO. I mentioned my concern with the amount of racing being squeezed into one evening. The track put my concerns to rest in that regard. A well run program with the exception of the ? class (following the super lates), that couldn't seem to get organized. The Thunder Trucks ended on an unfortunate and probably unnecessary crash that brought the evening to an end. A second wrecker would have helped to move things along but luckily multiple car crashes were at a minimum until the truck wreck.
Good job by the CCMP staff and racers and having been to a lot of short tracks, over the years, they have to rank near the top as far as being a friendly place to visit.
